What RunPattern does

Behavioral running intelligence from your Strava data — how you paced the run, not just the finish time.

The idea

Most running apps summarize distance, pace, and heart rate. RunPattern goes further: it reads how pace and physiology change across a workout and assigns a pacing profile — a label that describes your behavioral pattern (fast start fade, even split, late surge, and more).

The goal is simple: help you understand how you ran so you can train with intention, not guess from a single average pace.

How it works

Step 1

Connect Strava

Link your account once. RunPattern reads run streams — pace, heart rate, cadence — and never posts on your behalf.

Step 2

Classify each run

Every workout maps to a behavioral profile such as Negative Splitter, Diesel, or Cardio Drifter — based on how effort unfolds, not average speed alone.

Step 3

See the pattern

Your dashboard shows dominant profile, recent trend, and training focus so you know how you actually ran, not just how fast.

What you get

  • Pacing profiles

Eleven archetypes with icons and plain-language interpretation for each run.

  • Run history

Search and open any synced activity with pace sparklines and profile assignment.

  • Trends & focus

Dominant pattern over time and signals for where training attention may help.

Browse all eleven profiles on the profiles guide.

Strava & privacy

RunPattern uses the Strava API to sync your activities. You can disconnect anytime from Settings. We use your data only to show your dashboard and compute insights — we do not sell it. See our privacy policy.
